1. A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU, de Claudia Gray

A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird, Book 1)Cloud Atlas meets Orphan Black in this epic dimension-bending trilogy by New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray about a girl who must chase her father’s killer through multiple dimensions. Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their groundbreaking achievements. Their most astonishing invention, called the Firebird, allows users to jump into multiple universes-and promises to revolutionize science forever. But then Marguerite’s father is murdered, and the killer-her parent’s handsome, enigmatic assistant Paul-escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him. Marguerite refuses to let the man who destroyed her family go free. So she races after Paul through different universes, always leaping into another version of herself. But she also meets alternate versions of the people she knows-including Paul, whose life entangles with hers in increasingly familiar ways. Before long she begins to question Paul’s guilt-as well as her own heart. And soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is far more sinister than she expected. A Thousand Pieces of You explores an amazingly intricate multi-universe where fate is unavoidable, the truth elusive, and love the greatest mystery of all.

3. SWEET EVIL, de Wendy Higgins

Sweet EvilSweet southern girl Anna discovers at age sixteen that she is the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, the only one of her kind. As Anna struggles to fight the dark legacy of her father, she falls for the mysterious Kaidan Row, the ultimate bad boy. Forced to face her destiny, she must decide whether to embrace her halo or her horns.

4. DOROTHY MUST DYE, Danielle Paige

Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, Book 1)The New York Times bestselling first book in a dark new series that reimagines the Oz saga, from debut author Danielle Paige.I didn’t ask for any of this. I didn’t ask to be some kind of hero. But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado–taking you with it–you have no choice but to go along, you know?Sure, I’ve read the books.

I’ve seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little blue birds. But I never expected Oz to look like this.

To be a place where Good Witches can’t be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There’s still a road of yellow brick–but even that’s crumbling. What happened? Dorothy. They say she found a way to come back to Oz.

They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe. My name is Amy Gumm–and I’m the other girl from Kansas. I’ve been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.

I’ve been trained to fight. And I have a mission: Remove the Tin Woodman’s heart. Steal the Scarecrow’s brain.

Take the Lion’s courage. And–Dorothy must die.

5. RAVEN BOYS (The Raven Boys #1), de Maggie Stiefvater
Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, Book 1)

Blue has spent the majority of her sixteen years being told that if she kisses her true love, he will die. When Blue meets Gansey’s spirit on the corpse road she knows there is only one reason why – either he is her true love or she has killed him.

Determined to find out the truth, Blue becomes involved with the Raven Boys, four boys from the local private school (lead by Gansey) who are on a quest to discover Glendower – a lost ancient Welsh King who is buried somewhere along the Virginia ley line. Whoever finds him will be granted a supernatural favour. Never before has Blue felt such magic around her.

But is Gansey her true love? She can’t imagine a time she would feel like that, and she is adamant not to be the reason for his death. Where will fate lead them?
